Another Live Anthem!

In a complete surprise, my singing of the National Anthem for Game 4 of the New York Islanders / Washington Capitals Round 1 playoff series was also televised - this time on MSG. Here is the video to check out, and stay tuned for more playoff news as the Isles head to Game 6 tomorrow.

Finally Made It on National TV

Over the years I've gotten to sing the National Anthem at some pretty cool venues-- Lincoln Financial Field, Madison Square Garden, Shea Stadium, and of course Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum-- but in all of those times, the one thing I never got to do was be broadcast live on national TV. Well, today I got my wish!

Today's game 3 of the New York Islanders / Washington Capitals first round playoff series was broadcast live on NBC, not only nationally, but streamed live to US troops around the world. it's an incredible feeling to be a part of such an amazing team. It's an even more incredible feeling to be a part of the final season at the Barn, and to represent my Islanders for the playoffs. So when I started getting text messages, videos, and pictures of people who had seen me live on NBC, I was in a bit of disbelief. It wasn't until I got home to sit in front of my TV and turn on my DVR that I saw it really did happen! So here is a slightly shaky video taken from my phone of my anthem from today's game.

Now on to Game 4 this Tuesday, then on to the Stanley Cup!

God Bless America @ the NY Mets

Amanda sings God Bless America for the New York Mets vs. Cincinnati Reds at Citi Field, Flushing, NY on April 6, 2014

I've had the honor of singing the National Anthem for my New York Mets a few times over the last few years, but on Sunday, April 6th, I got to live out one more dream by singing God Bless America during Opening Weekend. Check out the video below.

A huge "thank you" to the staff and crew at Citifield for the opportunity, and for being some of the friendliest people I know.

Let's Go Mets!
