After over three years, my new album arrived at my house on Friday, all packaged and ready to go. I’m so excited for my CD Release Show at The Outer Space in Hamden, CT on December 3rd, and for everyone to see and hear the new album.
We’re about a week into mixing the album and there’s a little over half of the tracks finished. I’ve been heading to Rye every day to mix with Ido Zmishlany and Yaron Fuchs, and I have to say, this is the best mixing experience I’ve ever had.
Quite frankly, mixing can be a downright boring process, fine tuning every little drum kick and lining up every last guitar track, but as I’m understanding more about all the mumbo-jumbo on the computer screen, I’m taking part in the whole thing a lot more too.
